1. hand-me-down 哥哥姐姐穿不下就传给弟弟穿的衣服

B: Well thanks, but it's not new. It's just a hand-me-down from my father. He didn't want it anymore, so he gave it to me.
Well, I wish I could get some new clothes, but all I have got are hand-me-downs that were used by my sisters. I guess I have to wear that to the wedding.

I have a thirst for knowledge. I love reading.
I am thirsting to go to the beach! I really miss being near the water.
